Why is the domain called "Burr Frost"

Burr Frost was an ancestor of mine. I was doing Family History research and Burr Frost is my grandmother's grandfather. I liked the name so much I decided to use it as my domain name and my email address has been dahlr@burrfrost.com for quite a while now.

Burr Frost was born March 4, 1816 at Waterbury, (or New Haven) Connecticut, a son of Alpheus and Elizabeth Frost. He became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived in Nauvoo for several years. When the Saints were expelled from Nauvoo he left with them to go west. In early 1847 he willingly accepted his assignment to accompany the first Pioneer Group with Brigham Young to go to the regions of the Rocky Mountains. After his arrival in the valley he set up the first blacksmith shop in Salt Lake City.

He later served a mission to Australia and to Cedar City, Utah and helped with the first smelting of iron ore there.

We have owned many cars and boats since we have been married

The first car that I could say was mine was a 1954 Plymouth Belvedere that my Dad bought for my older brother when he was 16 and I was 14. My brother bought a mustang a year later so I inherited the Plmouth before I even had my license.

Since then we have owned over sixty, yes, sixty cars and trucks. I say we to include my wife in these deals but most of the time it was my mistake or idea to purchase another vehicle. Most have been older vehicles were driven for several months and then sold to make a profti(?). Sometimes I made money and sometimes I lost money but the whole time I was having fun.

My Grandpa was a horse trader and I must of inherited the bug from him.

Family History

Family History is the name given for investigating and documenting one's ancestors.  Genealogy is another name for this work.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints promotes this research to find our ancestors to fulfill Biblical Prophecy and fulfill the Church doctrine of redeeming those deceased by providing sacred ordinances including Baptism for them vicariously.
